DESIGNERS RETHINK THE SHED

It’s that time of year again, where the city is a buzz with talk of contemporary design, inspired furniture and industry trends. The annual Interior Design Show will be taking place next week from January 21-24^th at the Metro Convention Center in Toronto.

 This year Roomy Interiors has been invited to participate in a special IDS project.

5 Small Rooms: 5 Designers Rethink the Shed

Spotted in the trendiest international design magazines as the newest pod space- a.k.a the shed-is au courant.  See how five designers each transform a humble garden shed into a small room.

This year Roomy will be introducing the QRoom concept, created by Principal Designer Joanna Kakkavas and Senior designer Corinne LaFlamme.

The QRoom is the idea of taking thoughts and energy placed in the “Quantum” field and combining them into interior design to create your very own sanctuary or enchanted place which feeds your mind and spirit.  This is a place where you can escape the everyday; delve into the realms of imagination and manifestation of your dreams.  

We will be showcasing our client’s Diana’s QRoom, what she likes to call her

 “Glam Cave”!

 She is a wife, busy mother and a friend just looking for a room away from the everyday.  A space was created where she can sneak away into a magical atmosphere filled with beautiful sights and sounds, luxurious fabrics and sparkling crystal light.  Soothing tones of lavender and pink fill the space and rich textures surround her. This is her dressing room, her reading room, her romantic getaway.  Here she can be a girl again as she sips her champagne and listens to music she loves. It feeds her soul and takes her to another time and place.

She dreams and lets her thoughts float away, her mind is free and no one can take that away, she is after all, in her very own QRoom.

Joanna, Principal Designer, will be on site on Saturday and Sunday 11-5 to discuss 1-2 questions you may have about your design challenges and introduce you to an simple way of working with our designers through our design packages.
